Attachment based trauma therapy
Dyadic Developmental Therapy a model developed by Daniel Hughes a therapist in the United States to work with adoptive or fostered young people who are displaying challenging behaviours in the home for example anger, lying, peer difficulties, self harm and other controlling behaviours. This is a treatment for children and young people who have attachment difficulties usually because of early developmental trauma which is a result of early abuse or neglect. The aim is to establish attachment relationships and safety with an adult allowing the young person to work through their trauma more effectively.
